Charles Elbert Nichols

Charles Elbert Nichols age 77 passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Charles was born on July 13, 1935 to his parents the late Elbert M. Nichols and Josie Stanley Nichols. He was the husband of Mildred Collins Nichols, retired from the U.S. Air Force, was a Vietnam Veteran, and a member of the Zebulon Baptist Church Sovereign Grace. Along with his parents, Charles was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Nichols. Along with his wife, Charles is survived by two sons, Mike Nichols, Monty Nichols, one daughter, Denise Pinson, three brothers, Robert, John, and Lonnie Nichols, four sisters, Juanita Toppins, Connie Owens, Mary Rice, Emma Robinson, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Gary Vance officiating. The burial will follow in the Nichols Family Cemetery at Johns Creek.
