Farlon Damron

Farlon Damron, age 80, of Little Robinson Creek, Virgie, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2010, at the Pikeville Medical Center. He was born on December 21, 1930, the son of the late Charlie G and Cindy Damron. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, John Henry Damron. Before his retirement, Farlon worked for Big Sandy Wholesale. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was of the Old Regular Baptist Faith. He is survived by his wife, Ethel Mae Damron, by a daughter, Neva Knight of McMinnville, TN, by two brothers, Harlie and Moody Damron, by four sisters, Laura Webb, Flora Tackett, Mary Lee Smartt, and Bernice Thacker, and by a grandson, Brandon Knight. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 27, from 6 to 9 PM at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Dewey Roberts and Gale Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Cleveland Tackett Cemetery at Little Robinson Creek.
