Blonna Hobbs

Blonna Hobbs, age 90 passed away Tuesday, Dec. 28th, 2010 at the Parkview Nursing Home. She was born on Sept. 22nd, 1920 to her parents the late Grant Johnson and Fannie Johnson. She was the wife of the late Argil Hobbs, a presser at Jiffy Cleaners and a member of the Island Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Blonna was preceded in death by three brothers, Wayne Johnson, Grady Johnson, and Frank Johnson, and two sisters, Lona Hackney, and Hester Johnson. Blonna is survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss her dearly. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Island Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. The funeral will be Saturday 1-1-2011 at 1p.m. at the Island Creek Old Regular Baptist Church with John Paul Hamilton, Kermit Wright, Floyd Compton, Paul Vernon Damron, and Arnold Adkins officiating. The burial will follow in the Johnson Cemetery at Island Creek.
