Vaulters Adkins

Vaulters Adkins, age 86, passed away Monday, January 10th, 2011 at the Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV. Vaulters was born on June 5th, 1924 to his parents the late Tom Adkins and Cindy Blair Adkins. He was the husband of the late Zola Stevens Adkins, a retired coal miner, and self employed truck driver. Along with his wife and parents, Vaulters was preceded in death by one son, Gary Adkins, six brothers, and three sisters. Vaulters is survived by two sons, Chris Adkins of Marion, Ohio, Jackie Adkins of Harold, Ky., one daughter, Mickey Ware of Salyersville, Ky., one brother, Dempsey Adkins of Shelbiana,Ky., seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Thursday January 13th, 2011 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The burial will follow in the Family Cemetery at Blair Town.
