B.H. Vanover, age 72, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2011, at the Pikeville Medical Center. B.H. was born on October 15th, 1938 to his parents the late Crit Vanover and Julie Anderson Vanover. He was the husband of the late Birtie Cantrell Vanover, a retired coal miner, and a member of the Elkhorn Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with his wife and parents, B.H. was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Kennedy and Carrie Vanover, and one brother, Thomas Vanover. B.H. is survived by one son, Johnny Vanover of Melvin, Ky., one daughter, Debbie Estep of Jenkins, Ky., one brother, Charles Vanover of Ashland, Ky., two sisters, Carol Sue Daniels of Bristol, Tn., Patsy Mullins of Dorton, Ky., six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Thursday 1-20-2011 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Charles Nitchie and Jimmy Moore officiating. The burial will follow in the Anderson Branch Cemetery.
