Preston Smith

Preston Smith, age 71 passed away Friday, January 21st, 2011 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Preston was born on August 29th, 1939 to his parents the late Fred Smith and Gracie Smith. He was the husband of the late Ruth Smith, retired from Pike Fiscal Court, and a member of the Virgie Baptist Church. Along with his first wife and parents, Preston was preceded in death by his second wife, Shelia Smith. Preston is survived by two sons, Gary (Becky) Smith, Michael (Dee) Smith, one daughter, Lisa (Darrell) Smith Adams,one step son, Greg Charles, two step daughters, Brenda McPeek and Georgie McMahon, two brothers, Vernon Smith, Bert Smith, four sisters, Estell Marshall, Kathryn Miracle, Orleana Gross, and Augustine McPeek, five grandchildren, Gary Thomas Smith, Allen Preston Brown, Chasity Michelle Adams, Bethany Nicole Smith, and Autumn Paige Smith and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Special services will be Saturday and Sunday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Monday January 24th, 2011 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Bill Blackburn and Bob Justice officiating. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
