Roy Ray

Roy Ray age 73 passed away Saturday, Feb. 5th, 2011 at the Riverview Health Care Center. Roy was born on May 7th, 1937 to his parents the late Walter Ray and Lena Ray. He was the husband of Helen Ray, a retired coal miner and bus driver, and a member of the Elizabeth Regular Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Roy was preceded in death by one brother, Cecil Edward Ray and one sister, Rosie Hall. Along with his wife, Roy is survived by two sons, Roy Neil (Amber) Ray of Loraine, Ohio, John (Amy) Ray of Auxier, Ky., two brothers, Andy and Walter Ray Jr., nine sisters, Annie Fletcher, Catherine Bartley, Wilma Smith, Shirley Williams, Mable Akers, Jackaline Stanley, Josephine Gross, Billie Sue Roberts, and Linda Huffman, two grandchildren, Joseph Brewer and Tyler Ray, and three great-grandchildren, Logan, Garrett, and Jaxon Brewer, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Wednesday, Feb. 9th, 2011 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Vernon Damron and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
