James Sergent

James William Sergent, "Jay" 72, son of the late Watson Sergent and Madge Quillen, was born at Jackhorn , Kentucky, December 8, 1938. He entered eternal life on March 11, 2011 in Greenfield, Indiana. James, "Jay", was a member of the Hemphill Baptist Church in Jackhorn, KY. Jay is survived by two brothers: Gary Sergent and his wife Pat of Knightstown, Indiana and Burnis Sergent and his wife Donna of Deane, KY. Two sisters: Sandra Claudette Collins and her husband Alex of Jackhorn, KY and Regina Potter and her husband Bert of Greenfield, Indiana, and One sister-in-law Edith Logan Sergent of McCordsville, Indiana. James was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Leon Sergent. Jay is also survived by nine nieces and nephews and thirteen great nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Jay touched many lives along his journey and was a special brother to us. We will hold his love in our hearts forever and will miss him dearly Visitation will be Sunday at 6 PM at the Hemphill Baptist Church with special services beginning at 7. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday at 1 PM at the church with Danny Hurst officiating. The burial will follow in the Riley-Bentley cemetery at Hemphill,
