Preston Newsome

Preston Newsome age 70 passed away Saturday, March 12th, 2011 at the Cabell Huntington Hospital. Preston was born on April 30, 1940 to his parents the late Kenis Newsome and Goldie Newsome. He was the husband of Virginia Daryl, a retired postal employee, and a member of the Church in the Valley Church in Milton,WV. Along with his parents, Preston was preceded in death by one daughter Susan Diane, and one sister, Inette Hamilton. Along with his wife, Preston is survived by two sons, Michael Newsome and David Newsome, one brother, Harrison Newsome, four sisters, Rosetta Coleman, Maxie Rice, Anne Smith, Victoria Akers, Brenda King, one grandchild, Thomas Harrison (the joy of his life) and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6p.m. to 10p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be at the grave site Newsome Cemetery on Wednesday at 11:30 A.M. with Roy Smith officiating.
