Blanche Bentley Vanover, age 89 passed away Wednesday, March 16th, 2011, at the Pikeville Medical Center. Blanche was born on September 22nd, 1921 to her parents the late Ira Bentley and Belle Bentley. She was the wife Jim Vanover, a homemaker and self employed Pack's Dairy Bary, and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Blanche was preceded in death by one sister, Zella Fleming, and two brothers, Curtis Bentley, and Donald Bentley. Blanche is survived by two sons, Jerry (Mary) Kirby of Caney Hwy., Gary (Pauline) Kirby of Jenkins, Ky., four grandchildren, Rollie (Jana) Kirby, Ginger (Bill) Esenbock, Melissa Kirby, Sherri (Jimmy) Belcher, three great-granddaughters, Lindsey, Tameka, and Rachel, four great-grandsons, Will, Jacob, Joseph, and Jared, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Sunday March 20th, 2011 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with David Bentley and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Bentley Cemetery at Marshall's Branch.
