Chester Johnson

Chester Johnson age 77 passed away Sunday, March 27th, 2011 at the V.A. Medical Center in Huntington,WV. He was born on June 6th, 1933 to his parents the late Rodolph Johnson and Maude Younce Johnson. He was the husband of Jettie Carroll Johnson, a heavy equipment operator for Canada Coal Company, and a member of Pleasant Valley Methodist Church. Along with his parents, Chester was preceded in death by seven brothers, Charlie, Walter, Raymond, Edgar, Claude, and Curtis, and two sisters, Mary and Louise. Along with his wife, Chester is survived by two daughters, Montana McKenzie of Cocoa Beach, Florida, Susan Johnson of Pikeville, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Wednesday, March 29th, 2011 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Levi Coleman officiating. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
