Billy Carroll Damron

Billy Carroll Damron, age 63, passed away Saturday, April 23rd, 2011 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Billy was born on July 30th, 1947 to his parents the late Adam Damron and June Adkins Damron. He was the husband of the late Helen Jean Damron, and a member of Ford's Branch Church of Christ. He also served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. Along with his wife and parents, Billy was preceded in death by one son, Billy Carroll Damron Jr., and one brother, Adam Buck Damron. Billy is survived by three sons, Nathan Houston Damron of Weddington Branch, Jeffrey Carroll Damron of Cowpen Rd., George Cecil Damron of Pikeville, Bucky Charice Damron of Weddington Branch, three sisters, Betty Lucille Fronto of Pikeville, Bessie Cookie Comer of Pikeville, Arthur Sue Damron of Pikeville, six grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Wednesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, April 28th, 2011 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Fred Klatka and Buddy Ford officiating. The burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park.
