Alma Tackett

Alma Tackett, age 80, passed away Monday, April 25th, 2011 in Mansfield, Ohio. Alma was born on Oct. 24th, 1930 to her parents the late Bradley Ray and Liza Stanley Ray. She was the wife of the late Silas Tackett, a homemaker, and a member of the Caney Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Alma was preceded in death by three sisters, Alice Gillespie, Dixie Kathaleen Ray, and Easter Ellis, and one brother, Elmer Ray. Alma is survived by two daughters, Selby (John) Dorgan of Mansfield, Ohio, Annetta Smith of South Bloomfield, Ohio, three step children, Raymond (Sandy) Tackett of Calabash, NC., Emma Louise Bradley of Mi., Tommie (Alene) Tackett of Robinson Creek, Ky., one brother, Aster (Stallard) Lynch of Pikeville, three sisters, Maxine Leslie of Pikeville, Lula Ray of Pikeville, Emery Ray of Pikeville, eighteen grandchildren, numerous great and great great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday and Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Saturday 4-30-2011 at 11a.m. at the Caney Creek Freewill Baptist Church. The burial will follow in the Ray Family Cemetery.
