Martha Christine Slone

Martha Christine Kendrick Slone left this earth to go to her heavenly home on May 5, 2011 making her stay on earth eighty-one years, nine months, and sixteen days. She was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church. She was born July 19, 1929 to the late James and Florence Kendrick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph W. Slone, four children and two sisters Linda Alice Slone and Flossie Adkins. She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Dewayne Harris. She is survived by five children Linda Belle Adkins (Everette), Pricy Faye Harris (Donnie), Ralph Jr. Slone (Mildred), Florence Etta Reynolds (Lesley), Connie Sue Slone Passidomo. She is survived by six grandchildren Carmila Lester (Andy), Chris Slone (Tiffany), Terry Harris (Sarah), Kerry Harris (Dawn), Shawn Reynolds, Roger Dale Bevins Jr. She is survived by sixteen great-grandchildren. She is survived by a special cousin, Charlene Buckley. She loved and cared for her very special cats (Willow) (Tiger). Christine will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and relatives. Visitation will be Friday May 6, 2011 at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday from 2p.m. to 10p.m. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Sunday, May 8, 2011 at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Darrell Newsome and others officiating. The burial will follow at the Ralph W. Slone Cemetery at Jonican Ridgeline Rd. Raccoon. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.
