Patty June Coleman

Patty June Coleman age 79 passed away Saturday, May 14th, 2011 at her home. Patty was born on Dec. 30, 1931 to her parents the late Estil Stewart and Lucy Phipps Stewart. She was the wife of Don H. Coleman, a retired school teacher of 27 years for the Pike County Board of Education, and a member of the Marrowbone Missionary Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Patty was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Grey Stewart. Along with her husband, Patty is survived by one son, Jerry Allen (Linda) Coleman of Venters, Ky., two sisters, Aileen (Jack) Stewart Hamilton of Pikeville, Donna (Emil) Stewart Mayor of Pikeville, two granddaughters, Megan LeAnn Coleman, Patrese Danielle Damron Reed, two great grandsons, Brayden Mark Reed, and Grayson Daniel Reed, a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary and Brenda Collins of Louisville, Ky., a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Marrowbone Missionary Baptist Church. Church services will be Tuesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday, May 18th, 2011 at 2p.m. at the Marrowbone Missionary Baptist Church with Roger Johnson officiating. The burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park.
