Johnny Coleman

Johnny Coleman age 74 passed away May 24th, 2011 at the U.K. Medical Center. Johnny was born on Sept. 26th, 1936 to his parents the late Guy Coleman and Gladys Coleman. He was the husband of Shirley Coleman, a retired heavy equipment operator for Sunny Ridge Mining, and a member of the Wolfpit Community Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by one son, Johnny Craig Coleman, two sisters, Joyce Clevinger, Lois Clark, and one brother, Gary Coleman. Along with his wife, Johnny is survived by two daughters, Dee Dee Coleman Duffy and her husband, Brendan of Las Vegas, NV, Angie Coleman Shuck and her husband, T.G. of Lexington, Ky., seven grandchildren, Sara, Adam, Cole, Cash, Sydney, Brooklyn, and Raleigh, three great-grandchildren, Drew, Cayden, and Raven, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Saturday, May 28th, 2011 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Joey Sussan officiating. The burial will follow in the Coleman Cemetery at Wolfpit.
