Scotty Adkins

Scotty Adkins age 48 passed away Saturday, May 28th, 2011 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Scotty was born on June 16th, 1962 to his parents Abram Adkins and Barbara Jo Adkins. He was the husband of Diana Adkins, a retired coal miner for Kinney Branch Mining, and a believer of the Riverside Apostolic Faith. Along with his wife and parents, Scotty is survived by four sons, Scott (Rebecca) Adkins, Isaiah Adkins, Austin Adkins, Isaac Adkins, three daughters, Summer Adkins, Andrea (Doug) Prater, Kendra Adkins, one brother, Silas (Leshia) Adkins, two grandchildren, Ethan Prater and Leea Prater, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Monday and Tuesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Carson Adkins, David Adams and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
