Virgil J. Tucker

Virgil J. Tucker age 80 passed away Sunday, June 5th, 2011 at his home. Virgil was born on April 30th, 1931 to his parents the late Oliver Tucker and Mattie Phipps Tucker. He was the husband of Mabel Helen Tucker, retired from Tucker's Milk Company, and a member of the Church of Great I Am. Along with his parents, Virgil was preceded in death by two brothers, Hobert Tucker and Rudell Shortt and one sister, Aileen Mullins. Along with his wife, Virgil is survived by one daughter, Donna Kay Adkins of Jenkins, Ky., one son, Steven Michael (Donna) Tucker of Manchester, Ky., two sisters, Beulah Fouts of Indiana, Beatrice (Richard) Perry of Georgia, three grandsons, Brad (Jamie) Adkins, Daniel (Amanda) Browning, Dwayne (Gloria) Browning, six great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Wednesday, June 8th, 2011 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Arnold Stewart officiating.
