Chester Mullins 90, of Collins Hwy. Pikeville, KY, passed away Friday, June 10, at the Pikeville Medical Center. He was born March 23, 1921 in Wise, Virginia. He was the son of the late Marion and Nanny Newsome Mullins. He was the owner of Texico Service station at Collins Highway and a member of the Energyville Freewill Baptist Church. Along with his parents Chester was preceded in death by one son: Charles Mullins and two brothers: Quinten Mercer and James McCoy. He is survived by his wife Alka Elkins Mullins of Collins Highway; one son: Carl L. Mullins and his wife Trish of Pikeville, KY; two grandsons: Steve and Christopher Mullins; one great-grandson: Michael Curry and a host of family and friends who will miss him. Visitation will be Saturday, June 11 at 6 PM at the Energyville Freewill Baptist Church with special services held Saturday and Sunday evening at 7 PM. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Monday at the church with David and Josh Bentley officiating. The burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park in Pikeville, KY.
