Rosa Belcher

Rosa Belcher, age 97 passed away Tuesday, June 20th, 2011 at the Salyersville Health Care Center. Rosa was born on May 24th, 1913 to her parents the late Ruben Cantrell and Cynthia Cantrell. She was the wife of the late Lester (Buster) Belcher, a nurse aide at Jenkins Hospital, and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Rosa was preceded in death by one daughter Colleen Freeman and one son, Clinton Belcher. Rosa is survived by one son Levi Belcher, four daughters, Kansas Stanley, Arizona Clark, Wilma Golden, Cheryl Prater, one sister, Hazel Boyd, 20 grandchildren, thirty two great-grandchildren, twenty-four great great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Thursday, June 23rd, 2011 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Donnie K. Bryant officiating. The burial will follow in the Belcher Cemetery at Shelby Gap.
