Lonnie Delbert Anderson

Lonnie Delbert Anderson age 79 passed away Sunday, June 26th, 2011 at the Oaktree Hospital in Corbin, Ky. Lonnie was born on March 6th, 1932 to his parents the late Jim Anderson and Sarah Rowe Anderson. He was the husband of the late Jean Gray, retired from the auction business, and a member of the Island Creek Freewill Baptist Church. He also served his country honorably in the U.S. Marines. Along with his wife and parents, Lonnie was preceded in death by one grandson Travis Ratliff, one great grandson, and several brothers and sisters. Lonnie is survived by one son, Larry Gene Anderson of Elkhorn Creek, Ky., two daughters, Jo Dale Anderson of Louisville, Ky., LaTangie (Ronald) Chaney of Elkhorn City, Ky., three sisters, Sybil Witson of Roanoke, Va., Tilda Cantrell of Florida, Marie Robinson of Ohio, five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Thursday, June 30th, 2011 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jimmy Dale Sanders, Carson Wright, Don Blake Little, and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
