Crona Lee Hamlin

Crona Lee Hamlin age 61 passed away Monday, June 27th, 2011 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Crona was born on Oct. 12, 1949 to his parents the late Woodrow Hamlin and Velva Raines Hamlin. He was the husband of Julie Holland Hamlin, a retired coal miner, and a member of the Marrowbone Missionary Baptist Church. He also served his country honorably in the U.S. Army 101st Airborn. Along with his parents, Crona was preceded in death by one son, Richard Crona Hamlin, one sister, Judy Callihan. Along with his wife, Crona is survived by one daughter, Janet Tackett of Hellier, Ky., one brother, Tony Hamlin of Wolfpit, Ky., three sisters, Jeanette Clevinger of Antwerp, Ohio, Denna Bartrom of Butler, Indiana, Susie Hamlin of Tennessee, four grandchildren, Michael and Janesha Tackett, Dalton and Dustin Hamlin, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Marrowbone Missionary Baptist Church. The funeral will be Friday July 1st, 2011 at 1p.m. at the Marrowbone Missionary Baptist Church with Delon Jones, Roger Johnson and Randy Bentley officiating. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
