Lavana Adkins

Lavana Adkins age 91 passed away Friday, July 8th, 2011 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Lavana was born on July 1, 1920 to her parents the late John R. Patrick and Bertha Steffey Patrick. She was the wife of the late J.W. Adkins, retired from being self employed, and a member of the Main Street Church of Christ. Along with her husband and parents, Lavana was preceded in death by two brothers, John R. Patrick Jr. and Martin Patrick, and one sister, Verona Caldwell. Lavana is survived by one daughter, Peggy Ann Adkins Scott of Pikeville, one brother, Gene B. Patrick of Fresno, California, one sister, Audrey L. Dehner of Lexington, Ky., two grandsons, Jeffrey R. Scott, Kevin P. Scott, one great-grandson, Zachary Harvey Scott, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Monday July 11, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Main Street Church of Christ with Josh Allen and Main Street Church of Christ Ministers officiating.
