Loraine Osborne

Loraine Hopson Osborne, age 87 passed away Monday, August 1, 2011 at her home. Loraine was born on Dec. 20th, 1923 to her parents the late Bill Hopson and Anna Compton Hopson. She was the wife of the late Thomas Osborne, a homemaker, and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Loraine was preceded in death by three brothers, Lonnie Hopson, Eugene Ell Hopson, and Edward Hopson, four sisters, Tierra Lockhart, Nancy Lee Fields, Mentie Meade, Tennie Thompson, two grandchildren, Larry Rutherford Jr, Johnny Wray Osborne. Loraine is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Brenda) Osborne of Robinson Creek, Lonnie (Lois) Osborne of Pikeville, one daughter, Walterene (Larry) Rutherford of Robinson Creek, wo brothers, James E. Hopson of Thompson's Branch, David Hopson of Bowling Green, Ky., four grandchildren, Thomas E. Osborne, Allison Velasquez, Kelli Flanery, Lora Adkins, seven great grandchildren, Lauren Flanery, Ariana Velasquez, John M. Flanery, Brennan Velasquez, Zane Osborne-Owens, Emily Osborne-Owens, Lilly Osborne-Owens, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, August 4th, 2011 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Mike Hopson and John Doug Hayes officiating. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
