Zettie Thompson Adkins

Zettie Thompson Adkins, age 98 passed away Monday, August 15th, 2011 at her home. Zettie was born on June 3, 1913 to her parents the late Thomas Boyd King and Emma King. She was the wife of the late Homer Thompson, a homemaker, and a member of the Zebulon Church of Christ. Along with her husband and parents, Zettie was preceded in death by one son, Oscar Thompson, one grandson, Thadeus Thompson, six brothers, Carlos King, Curtis King, Jessie King, Willard King, Willie Ratliff, Kelly Ratliff, and three sisters, Zella King Carter, Lois Pinson, Gladys King. Zettie is survived by one son, Okie Thompson of Hamilton, Ohio, one daughter, Lorraine Thompson Nichols of Raccoon, Ky., three grandchildren, Robert, Omar, Ingrid, six great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Zebulon Church of Christ. The funeral will be Thursday August 18th, 2011 at 1p.m. at the Zebulon Church of Christ with Shane Lockard and Fred Klatka officiating. The burial will follow in the Bent Ridge Cemetery at Meta.
