Daniel Van Burke

Daniel Van "Boonie" Burke age 82, of Jonancy, Ky. passed away Tuesday August 23,2011 at the Signature Healthcare. Daniel was born September 21,1928 to his parents the late Lewis and Josephine Fleming Burke. He was the Husband of Martha Mitchell Burke. Daniel was a Surface Miner for Marpike Coal Co. and was a member of the Yeager Church of Christ. Daniel was preceded in death by one son Daniel Keith Burke, three brothers and several sisters. Along with his wife Daniel is survived by two sons, James (Mary) Burke and Paul (Janis) Burke, one daughter, Judy Thompson, one brother, Madison Stewart of Ohio, three sisters, Rosie Jeanette Fleming of Ohio, Nannie Johnson of Ohio, Jo Ann Yomer of Ohio, ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends who love him and will miss him dearly. Visitation will be Wednesday 6pm at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home, Funeral will Friday 1pm at the Lucas&Son Funeral Home. Special Services will be Wed&Thurs nights at 7pm. Burial will be in the Mitchell Cemetery.
