Branson Coleman age 90 passed away Monday, September 5, 2011 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Branson was born on May 11, 1921 to his parents the late George Coleman and Eva Little Coleman. He was the husband of Gypsy Ann Parker Coleman, retired owner of Ike Coal Company, and a believer of the Baptist Faith. He also served his country honorably in the U.S. Army During World War II. Along with his parents, Branson was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Coleman, one brother, Ira Coleman and two sisters, Amy Madden and Bertha Chapman. Along with his wife, Branson is survived by two daughters, Ann Tackett of Pikeville, Lynn Fields of Elkhorn City, three sons, Eugene Coleman of Raccoon, Ike Coleman of Belcher, Rodney Coleman of Elkhorn City, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Wednesday and Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday Sept. 9, 2011 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
