Ernest Hall

Ernest Hall, age 83 passed away Thursday, Sept. 15th, 2011 at his home. Ernest was born on Dec. 26th, 1927 to his parents the late Sam Hall and Bertha Hall. He was a retired coal miner for Island Creek Coal Company and a deacon at Buckfield Freewill Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Ernest was preceded in death by one brother, Curtis Hall, two sisters, Zelda Newsome and Emma Centers. Ernest is survived by one son, Jerry Wayne Hall of Little Robinson Creek, two daughters, Loretta Stanley of Little Robinson Creek, Doris Ann Hamblin of Little Robinson Creek, one brother, Ralph Hall of Illinois, five sisters, Ellen Newsome of Virgie, Julia Bryant of Virgie, Mildred Hall of Virgie, Irene Ellis of Ohio, Cora Scharf of Arizona, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Friday and Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, Sept. 18th, 2011 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Freewill Baptist Ministers officiating. The burial will follow in the Rob Newsome Cemetery at Virgie.
