Gregory Paul Blackburn

Gregory Paul Blackburn age 54 passed away Monday, October 3, 2011 at his home. Greg was born on Dec. 24, 1956 to his parents the late Hutson Blackburn and Rebecca Sue Damron Blackburn. He was the husband of Jennifer Lynn Greer Blackburn, a retired mine foreman, and a believer of the Baptist Faith. Along with his parents, Greg was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Lillie Nicole Blackburn. Along with his wife, Greg is survived by one daughter, Rebecca (Jamie) Roberts, one son, Gregory Eric Blackburn, three brothers, George Blackburn, Gary Blackburn, Goble Blackburn, five sisters, Forresta Jean Johnson, Pamela Adams, Patricia Shaffer, Jamie Harris, Patricia Chick, four grandchildren, James Zachary Roberts, Matthew Chase Roberts, Allison Grace Blackburn, Peyton Hutson Blackburn, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Friday Oct 7, 2011 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Kermit Wright officiating. The burial will follow in the Greer Family Cemetery at Myra.
