James Clyde Newsom

James Clyde Newsom age 68 passed away Wednesday, Nov. 30th, 2011 at the Holston Valley Medical Center. He was the husband of Billie Potter Newsom, a retired truck driver, and a believer of the Old Regular Baptist Faith. Along with his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by one brother John Henry Newsom. Along with his wife, Clyde is survived by one daughter Lisa Arnold and her husband Phil of Goose Creek, South Carolina, two brothers, Acie Newsom and Delaney Newsom both of Caney Creek, two sisters, Dacie Hamilton of Caney Creek, Dicie Vinson of Caney Creek, two granddaughters, Chessie and Cassie Arnold, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Caney Creek Old Regular Baptist Church. Church services will be Thursday and Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011 at 1p.m. at the Caney Creek Old Regular Baptist Church with Danny Belcher, Kermit Wright and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Potter Cemetery at Dorton.
