Ruth Sword

Ruth Sword, age 88 of Joe's Creek passed away Friday December 16,2011 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Ruth was born December 2,1923 to her parents the late Joe and Florence Canterbury,she was a homemaker. Ruth was the wife of the late Columbus Sword. Besides her parents and her husband Ruth was preceded in death by two daughters, Gladys Sword and Della Gibson. Ruth is survived by three sons, Ray Sword, Clyde Sword, Columbus Sword Jr.three daughters, Dorothy Coleman, Carroll Scott,Edith Farmer,eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends who will miss her dearly. visitation will be Sunday 12-18-2011 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral will be Monday 12-19-2011 at 1 p.m. at Lucas and Son Funeral Home.
