Mavis Lindemann, age 71, of Pikeville, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2011 at her residence. She was born on May 4, 1940, the daughter of the late Arthur and Flora Syck Scott. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Glennis Ray and by a brother, Rush Scott. Mavis was retired from Community Trust Bank and was a member of the Stone Coal Church of Christ. She is survived by two daughters, Kimberlea (Cliff) Bartley of Pikeville, KY and Karin (Clinton) Stump of Kimper, KY and by their father Melvin Lindemann, by a brother, Bill Scott of Pikeville, KY and Eleanor Carbary of Overpeck, OH, and by six grandchildren, Aaron, Francheska, Jacob, Colson, Cory and Faith and a host of loving family and friends who will miss her dearly. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 25, 2011, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Phillip Keathley and Randal Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery. Special services will be held on Monday at 7 p.m.
