Dora Elizabeth Stanley

Dora Elizabeth Orndorff Stanley, age 86, passed away Monday, Dec. 26, 2011 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Dora was born on August 28, 1925 to her parents the late Arthur Orndorff and Nora Bean Orndorff. She was the wife of the late Raymond Stanley, a retired cook for the Pike County Board of Education, and a member of the Heenon Church of Christ. Along with her husband and parents, Dora was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters. Dora is survived by one son, Marshall Stanley of Harold, Ky., three daughters, Mable (Harold) Wood of Varney of Ky., Joyce (J.T.) Gillispie of Pikeville, Ky., Marie (Roger) Smith of Varney, Ky., eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 4p.m. at the Heenon Church of Christ. Church services will be Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday Dec. 30, 2011 at 11a.m. at the Heenon Church of Christ with Dwayne Smith officiating. The burial will follow in the Maynard-Stanley Cemetery at Brushy.
