Lavonne Taylor Johnson

Lavonne Taylor Johnson age 74 passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at the U.K. Medical Center. Lavonne was born on May 6, 1937 to her parents the late Coonie Adkins and Thursie Justice. She was the wife of the late Henry Taylor and worked in housekeeping at Pikeville Medical Center. Along with her husband and parents, Lavonne was preceded in death by her first husband, Arnold Johnson, one grandson, Jeremiah Taylor, one daughter, Glenda Taylor, one brother, Clinard Adkins, and one sister, Evelene Thacker. Lavonne is survived by three sons, Dean (Theresa) Taylor, Ronald (Chrissie) Taylor, James (Trisena) Taylor, three daughter, Anita Taylor, Brneda Trivette, Barbie (Anethony Palomo) Reyes, three brothers, Leon Adkins, Gene David Adkins, Jerry Adkins, four sisters, Gayrene Goff, Sadie Coleman, Judy Reynolds, Kim Adkins, twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Thursday and Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Tommy Tackett and Oscar Damron officiating. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
