Nona Mae Thacker Hunt

Nona Mae Thacker Hunt, age 85 passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Nona was born on May 1, 1926 to her parents the late Greenville Adkins and Molly Hopkins Adkins. She was the wife of the late Ertle Hunt, a homemaker, and a believer of the Baptist Faith. Along with her husband and parents, Nona was preceded in death by her first husband, Otis Thacker, one son, Otis Gary Thacker, one step-son, Vanis Bevins, three brothers, Harry B. Adkins, Carmel Adkins, Elster Adkins, and one sister, Leona Bevins. Nona is survived by one son, Larry E. (Sharon) Thacker of Millard, Ky., two daughters, Anna Lyvone (Roy) Thacker of Coon Creek, Mollie Jean (Cheyenne) Williams of Louisa, Ky., three sisters, Lorraine Coleman, Betty Coleman, and Alice Faye Coleman all of Lower Pompey, seven grandchildren, Sherry Goodridge, Rhonda Thacker, Allen Abshire, Tracy Thacker, Julie Marcum, Beverly Compton, Austin Williams, eight great grandchildren, Summer, Jasmine, Stormy Mae, Tyler, Troy, Keaton, Jagger, and Allen Jr., and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Friday and Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, January 15, 2012 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. The burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park.
