Ray Elmer Thacker

Ray Elmer Thacker age 56 passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012 at his home. Ray was born on January 4, 1956 to his parents the late Jonah Abraham Thacker and Sarah Emogene Kayser Thacker. Ray was the husband of Deloris Gay Causey Thacker, a security guard for Black Pearl Mining Company, and a member of the Holiness Church. Along with his wife, Ray is survived by one daughter, Katrina Cerdeira, four brothers, Jonah Dean Thacker, Nelson Thacker, Bobby Jean Goff, John Green Thacker Jr., three sisters, Carolyn Sue Pinion, Brenda Lou Rich, Sarah Emogene Thacker, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Sunday and Monday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Ray Sayers and Ruben Vanhoose officiating. The burial will follow in the Causey Family Cemetery at Greasy Creek.
