Glenna Thacker

Glenna Aileen Wilson Thacker 63, of Ivel, died Monday, February 6, 2012 in Jacksonville, Florida after a very brief battle with cancer. She was born to the late Oliver Wilson and Eunice Wilson on March 2, 1948, in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Granddaughter to the late Celeste and Blackburn Wilson and the late Pearl and Albert Tobrey. Glenna graduated from Shinnston High School. She was married to Bobby Gene Thacker on February 12, 1971 and resided in Ivel, Kentucky. Glenna was survived by five children: Scott (Anzie) Thacker of Ivel, Ky.,Heather (Michelle) Kilpatrick of Jacksonville, Florida, Greg (Courtney) Thacker of Toler, Kentucky; Jeremy (Randa) Thacker of Betsy Layne, Ky; and Tyler Thacker of Ivel, Kentucky; and one sister, Michelle Wilson of Clarksburg, West Virginia. She also is survived by fourteen grandchildren: Kayla Thacker, Byron Thacker, Jaxton Thacker, Ashlee Kilpatrick, Kayla Kilpatrick, Kyle Meggyes, Jase Kilpatrick, Paytn Kilpatrick, Hope Thacker, Mackenzie Thacker, Preston Thacker, Shamron Thacker, Sebastian Thacker, and Kenneth Skeens. She also is survived by one great grandchild, Kylie Thacker, as well as many nieces and nephews. Glenna is also survived by her mother, Eunice Wilson of Prestonsburg, Ky and her husband, Bobby Gene Thacker of Ivel, Ky. Glenna was a life long member of the Prestonsburg Church of Christ. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother that will be missed dearly. Visitation will be Friday and Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012 at 2p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Rick Kelley and Tim Blankenship officiating. The burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Garden at Ivel, Ky.
