Rita Lois Barnes

Rita Lois Barnes, age 63 passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012 at her sister's home in Sweeden, Ky. Rita was born on Dec. 14, 1948 to her parents Imol Ward Ramey and the late Ermol Elmon Ramey. She was the wife of John Will Barnes, a retired school teacher for the Pike County Board of Education, and a member of the Church of God. Along with her husband and mother, Rita is survived by three daughters, Camala Jeanette (Phil) Ferguson, Shana Danielle (Ronnie) Bentley, Nicole Noel (Rob) Oakes, one brother, Freemon Elmon (Susan) Ramey, two sisters, Goretta (Steve) VanMeter, Baretta Lynn (Charles Michael) Casey, seven grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Sunday and Monday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
