Flora Jane Bostic, age 69 of Warren, Michigan, formerly of Pikeville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012 at the St. John's Oakland General Hospital in Michigan. She was born on August 10, 1942 to her parents the late Butler Ratliff and Ollie Thacker Ratliff. She was the wife of James Bostic, an environmental supervisor for St. John's Hospital, and a member of the Fellowship General Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Flora was preceded in death by one grandson, one brother, Hassell Ratliff, and three sisters, Ernestine, Josephine, and Ivalene. Along with her husband, Flora is survived by two daughters, Barbara Lynn Taylor and Kellie Marie Surgener both of Arkansas, one brother, Floyd Ratliff of Hurricane Creek, three sisters, Bertha Bolden of Hurricane Creek, Marie Varney of Raccoon, Gaynell Fletcher of Richmond, Ky., five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends who will miss her dearly. Visitation will be Thursday from 2p.m. to 9p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday, Feb. 24, 2012 at 1p.m. at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Willis Hurley officiating. The burial will follow in the Thacker Cemetery.
