Darrell Stanley age 67 passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012 at the V.A. Community Living Center in Lexington, Ky. Darrell was born on May 30, 1944 to his parents the late Quincy Stanley and Bessie Gannon Stanley. He was a retired coal truck driver, a believer of the Baptist Faith, and he also served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during Vietnam War. Darrell is survived by two sons, Robert Darrell (Rona) Stanley of Raccoon, Ky., John Derek Stanley of Meta, Ky., three brothers, Grafton Stanley of Michigan, Carl (Launa) Stanley of Forrest Hills, Ky., Larry (Peggy) Stanley of Canada, Ky., two sisters, Wanda (Henry) Turner of Huntington, Indiana, Jemima (Johnny) Hall of Harold, Ky., one grandson, Matthew Corey Stanley, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Grassy Freewill Baptist Church. The funeral will be Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012 at 1p.m. at the Grassy Freewill Baptist Church with Larry Goff and Brad Williamson officiating. The burial will follow in the Mt. View Memorial Gardens at Huddy, Ky.
