J.B. King

J.B. King, age 77, of Meta, Ky, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at the V.A. Hospital in Huntington, WV. He was born on September 5, 1935, the son of the late Oscar B. and Fannie Smith King. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Justice. Before his retirement, J.B. was a dozer operator for a coal company. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. and was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ. He is survived by a sister, Doris Hughes and by a brother, Paul King. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives who will miss him dearly. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 16, 2012, after 6 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Main Street Church of Christ Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery. Special services will be held on Monday night at 7 p.m.
