Hoyt Daniel Hayes

Hoyt Daniel Hayes age 86 passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at his home. Hoyt was born on Oct. 11, 1925 to his parents the late Steve Hayes and Nora Boggs Hayes. He was the husband of the late Beatrice White Hayes, a retired coal miner for Bethlehem Elkhorn Steel Coal Co., and a member of the People Fundamental Baptist Church. Along with his wife and parents, Hoyt was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Adkins, Lucille Hayes, five brothers, George, Earl, Thruman, Tom, and Bruce Hayes. Hoyt is survived by one son, Terry Hayes, one daughter, Sharyn (Larry) Vanover, seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the People Fundamental Baptist Church. Church services will be Friday night at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, May 6, 2012 at 12 noon at the People Fundamental Baptist Church with Van Webb and Danny Craft officiating. The burial will follow in the Powell Valley Memorial Garden.
