Alfred Bryant Jr. age 82 passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012 at his home. Alfred was born on March 20, 1930 to his parents the late Alfred Bryant and Elsie Potter Bryant. He was the husband of Esther Sanders Bryant, a coal miner for Beth-Elkhorn Coal Corp, a member of the UMWA, and a member of the Hylton Old Regular Baptist Church. Along with his wife, Alfred is survived by four sons, Komas (Charlotte) Bryant, Alfred (Karen) Bryant, Connie (Janet) Bryant, Tony (Sandy) Bryant, one daughter, Edie (Terry) Fleming, three sisters, Pauline Fleming, Juanita Mullins, Helen Adkins, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Friday and Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 1p.m. at the Hylton Old Regular Baptist Church with Larry Puckett, Jerry Overstreet, Robert Kelly, Carson Wright, Glenn Hall, and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Rob Ratliff Cemetery at Elkhorn Creek.
