Ovil Hunt

Ovil Hunt, age 82 passed away Monday, June 4, 2012 at his home. Ovil was born on May 21, 1930 to his parents the late Jessie Hunt and Liddie Ramey Hunt. He was the husband of the late Mary Ellen McCown Hunt, retired from cutting timber, and a believer of the Freewill Baptist Faith. Along with his wife and parents, Ovil was preceded in death by one infant son, one sister, Bertha Stevens, and one brother, Vernon Hunt. Ovil is survived by two sons, Harold Hunt of Russell Springs, Ky., Terry Ray Hunt of Pike County, four daughters, Rita Lynn Bartley of Marrowbone, Ky., Mabel Mullins of Virgie, Ky., Teresa Hawkins of Russell Springs, Ky., Anna Patrick of Glasgow, Ky., two brothers, Yourl Hunt of Pike County, Lewis Hunt of Ohio, one sister, Nellie Blankenship of WV., several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday at 1p.m. at the Edo Freewill Baptist Church at Kimper. Church services will be Wednesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, June 7, 2012 at 2p.m. at the Edo Freewill Baptist Church with Freewill Baptist Ministers officiating. The burial will follow in the Dotson Cemetery at Long Fork of Kimper.
