Zella Jewel Wright, age 78 passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Zella was born on Feb. 2, 1934 to her parents the late Edward Craft and Thelma Sorrel Craft. She was the wife of the late Jeff Wright, a nurse aide for home health, and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Zella was preceded in death by one brother, James Arthur Craft and two sisters, Clara Ross and Mabel Collins. Zella is survived by four sons, Don Jones of Manassas, Va., Timothy Wright of Lizzie Fork, Robert Wright of Ashcamp, Ky., Allen Wright of Indiana, three daughters, Rhonda Jo Wright of Ashcamp, Ky., Sandra Steele of New Carlisle, Ohio, Gloria Wright Myra, Ky., three brothers, Bill Ed Craft, Cheed Craft, Tony Craft, four sisters, Lucy Bloom, Debbie Craft, Velma Craft, and Teresa Gamble, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Saturday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Sunday, June 17, 2012 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Tommy England and Ronnie England officiating. The burial will follow in the Turner Cemetery at Perry County.
