Michael Shawn Ratliff

Michael Shawn Ratliff age 39 passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Shelbiana, Ky. Michael was born on June 28, 1972 to his parents Gary Ratliff and Barbara Prater Ratliff. He was the husband of Amy Adams Ratliff, a coal miner for Enterprise Coal Company, and a believer of the Old Regular Baptist Faith. Michael was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ike Prater. Along with his wife and parents, Michael is survived by two daughters, Haley Ratliff and Kaytlen Ratliff both or Morreville, Mississippi, one sister, Michelle Justice of Shelbiana, Ky., grandmother, Inous Prater of Shelbiana, Ky., step sisters, Rhonda Hampton, Jennifer Underwood, Cindy Adams, one step brother, Mike Browning, niece and nephew, Teia Justice and Brandon Justice, aunt, Verda Prater, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Saturday and Sunday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Monday, June 25, 2012 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Teddy Honaker, Kermit Wright, and others officiating. The burial will follow in the Prater Cemetery at Greasy Creek.
