Marie Phillips

Marie Morris Phillips age 98 passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Marie was born on August 28, 1913 to her parents the late John Morris and Trulie Stratton Morris. She was the wife of the late Alva Phillips, a homemaker, and a believer of the Baptist Faith. Marie is survived by one son, Harvey J. Phillips of Kimper, Ky., one sister, Loraine Napier, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Chester Ray Varney officiating. The burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
