Margaret "Peggy" Smith

Margaret C. "Peggy" Smith, age 62, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Peggy was born on Sept. 10, 1949 to her parents the late C.C. Curtis and Betty Jones Dale. She was the wife of Richie Smith, an insurance agent, and a member of the Salem United Methodist Church. Along with her husband, Peggy is survived by one son, Christopher Lee (Jenny) Smith of New Port, Ky., one daughter, Rebecca (Marcus) Blackstone of Bristol, Va., one sister, Sharon (David) Keesecker of Corbin, Va., six grandchildren, Riley Blackstone, Bradley Bowman, Emilee Bowman, Evelyn Smith, Lillian Smith, Abigail Smith, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Larry Penix officiating. The burial will follow in the Henry Taylor Cemetery at Lower Brushy.
