Mollie Thornbury

Mollie Thornbury, age 71 passed away Sunday, July 8, 2012 at her home. Mollie was born on May 7, 1941 to her parents the late John Johnson and Anna Caudill Johnson. She was the wife of the late Benny Thornbury, a retired cook for Pike County Board of Education, and a believer of the Baptist Faith. Along with her husband and parents, Mollie was preceded in death by one son, Benny Ray Thornbury, one daughter, Nora Ann Thornbury, four brothers, Ellis Stiltner, Charles Johnson, Clyde Stiltner, Ben Johnson, and four sisters, Hazel Johnson, Edna Stiltner, Ethel & Donna Johnson. Mollie is survived by two daughters, Betty Tackett of Three Mile, Paula (Freddy) Tackett of Three Mile, two brothers, Jack Johnson, Claude Johnson, two sisters, Martha Kinder, Priscilla (Nancy) Stiltner, two grandchildren, Samantha Tackett Burke, and Ryan Tackett, one great-grandchild, Joel Burke, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Teddy Tackett and Hubert Potter officiating. The burial will follow in the Epling Family Cemetery at Breaks, Va.
