Elizabeth Mullins Marrs age 86 passed away Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Parkview Nursing Home. Elizabeth was born on Feb. 21, 1926 to her parents the late John Mullins and Mary Darcus France Mullins. She was the wife of the late Virgil Jackson Marrs, a mgr. for Virgie High School Lunch Room and the Shelby Y.M.C.A. restaurant, and a member of the Energyville Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by three brothers, Rev. Woodrow Mullins, James (Shum) Mullins, Dial Mullins, five sisters, Dessie Morgan, Azza Maynard, Anzie Tackett, Mary Ethel Branham, Lola Ann Branham, one grandson, one granddaughter, and one great grandson. Elizabeth is survived by one son, Johnny (Sherry) Marrs, three daughters, Sue (Jerry) Slone, Kay (Jim) Thacker, Janie (Jesse) Stewart, one brothers, Milton (Jackie) Mullins, special sister-in-law, Sarah Mullins, eight grandchildren, two step grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one step great grandchild, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with David Bentley and Josh Bentley officiating. The burial will follow in the Marrs Cemetery at Branham Heights.
